Let’s get that on the books!

I had one of the original Green Machines in the 70s. Loved that thing.

The original was almost all made of plastic. I think my mom found it at a yard sale for $3!

Years ago, there was a yearly big wheel rally on the Pearl Street Mall. It was wild…

My cousin had one, and man I loved it. We were way too broke to get that! I had a big wheel we got at a garage sale with the plastic front wheel with a hole in it from skidding, so it had a nice hooptie vibe when cruising.

Was there a big wheel that didn’t have a hole in the front wheel?

We bought two Trek big wheels off a guy in Boulder that was involved in that rally! We blew through too many plastic tires drifting them down the road to Carter lake which is what led to Steven building adult sized ones. Still have the little Treks too, so we have a fleet of 5 big wheels. We need to get some races going.

Yeah we always wanted to go to that but could never make it with work. We’ve got enough for our own mini rally now though. lol

I’m so proud of this group degrading this thread so far from the OP that we are now seriously considering buying and racing adult-sized big wheels. GOOD WORK, TEAM.

Here’s a builder embracing an organic essence of just riding:

The mission behind Kyoot Bikes (pronounced like “cute”) is to create a unique bicycle that is efficient and fun, but not overengineered. We want to help people fall in love with riding bikes. The bicycle is a tool, but also a companion. A friend to take you on adventures, to teach you endurance, and to encourage self-reflection.

A bike can take you on your first date. A bike can give you a ride to work. A bike can lead you to undiscovered happiness. At Kyoot Bikes, our goal is to encourage you to try something new.
