We’re a small group, but we want to make the most of the relationships in this crew, and this is another step in that direction. If you have any other ideas for categories that might be useful, just DM me or Rich.
I own and operate Safe Dryers, a dryer vent service company. We clean, repair and install dryer vents. It’s a funny little niche I found but it keeps me busy. Clothes dryers are one of the most expensive appliances to run and require good ventilation to run efficiently. They’re also one of the leading causes of house fires.
Im an electrical guru. I have 20 years as a manufacturers rep for the lighting industry, 5 years owning a retail/trade lighting store and 8 years as an electrician. I can basically have it made for you and install it.
I’d say for anyone talking about their businesses here, create a new topic about your business with your biz name and what you do in the title, rather than replying here. That way there’s a permanent topic/thread that people can see that isn’t buried.
The job that pays the bills is I’m Director of Technical Milling for Ardent Mills. We are the largest wheat flour miller in North America and supply about 1/3 of the wheat flour in the US. If you’ve ate a burrito, hamburger or bread, there’s a chance my company made the flour. I support plants from Washington State to Tennessee, Massachusetts to Southern California. I’m on the road M-F most weeks at one of our locations. Been with them for 21 years.
Back in the 80s and 90s I used to do gem mining and mineral specimens along with lapidary for jewelers. Traipzed all over the back country of Mexico where I grew up and through many an opium poppy field. Then I had kids and the mining got too dangerous. Was always looking over my shoulder for Federales, cartel and bandidos. Now I do lapidary production and ultrasonic drilling for some tech industries but mostly for jewelers. Its just a small company but pays my bills and allows for my freedom. Esteban

My wife and I retired in 2012 and moved to our house up outside Nederland where we started Adventure Tool Company designing, consulting and manufacturing outdoor textile storage solutions for the Overland, Adventure, Off-road world. All made here on the front range with USA components. It’s grown into a second company, Lonely Gargoyle LLC that produces US Gov/Military/Law Enforcement/3-letter G-Agencies textile gear.
If I can ever help anyone fix their soft gear LMK, we have the ATC Design studio up in Nederland and happy to help.
I’m an Engineering Manager for a mapping software company. It pays the bills, I also am a musician, currently with a rock/metal band that is working on recordings. I. The past, I played a lot of bars, festivals, and weddings . The most fun one in Colorado was The Freddi-Henchi band, an old skul funk band.
