WANTED: Recs for Enduro / Zip Off Sleeves Jacket

Yo,

Currently have Klim Badlands jacket and pants. I want to move towards a relatively light weight enduro or similar jacket, zippered vents, removable sleeves with jacket back pocket to stow sleeves and possibly another layer.

Ideally, same size jacket can accommodate either Ninja Turtle Leatt Whatever I Wear Now Super Armor, or a lighter weight armor shirt dealio that I see some of the cool kids wearing these days.

Unarmored jacket, as I’ll wear body armor and elbow pads under it. Rain solution will be cheap XXL jacket and pants that I can quick toss over or off my kit.

I’d like to find a solution <$300.

I have that alpinestars, but armor is attached, and price above your target. Found those though, might be options

Thx! Not sure I want this “KENNY!!!” guys name shouting across my chest

I’ll look at enduro / dirt bike brands vs $$$$ ADV kit. I basically don’t want a $$$$ do it all jacket that’s heavy and can be hot, which is what I have now.

Leatt Moto 4.5 Jacket comes in a few configurations, with all of the features you noted. Aroud your price point

$120 direct from Oneal looks like you can’t go wrong for a basic enduro jacket. I have a bunch of O Neal MX gear and it is all very good and a great value.

Yeah, hard to go wrong at that price. And Leatt is high quality also.

The Leatt is pretty awesome. I like my alpinestars, but only for the touring/local/C route rides. I never use it with my under-armor. Might have to also watch this thread closely.

If southpark is any indicator… that would be wise.

Thor, Answer, Moose Racing, UFO, and Acerbis all make lighter Enduro Jackets similar to the ONeal for under $200. There are sales on the previous generation Leatt Moto 4.5 jacket from European online retailers (Motostorm, FCMoto - I have ordered from both before and had a great experience, but now tariff and shipping changes might have an impact) for the same price as the Oneal. I don’t have personal experience with the details between these jackets.

It looks like the JT racing and MSR enduro jackets that I have are no longer in their lines. My favorite is the JT, it has a great pocket layout, quality zippers, a neck brace adaptable collar, good venting, and fit adjustment. My MSR jacket is more water resistant, pocket closures and seam quality is very good, but the fit is bulkier and the vents are not as large.

Check out the Thor Terrain Jacket - it’s what I’ve been eyeballing for the same purpose. Biggest “con” i’ve seen is that the sizing is way off from normal (order up), so you may need to kiss a few different-sized frogs.

I’m riding the leatt rally 5.5 and it’s pretty sweet. Zip off sleeves

Looks like a nice jacket but I’m interested in a lighter weight jacket with no armor. Allows to me to change up the armor configuration depending on the ride, zip the sleeves on and off, put a rain jacket over it when needed, or remove the jacket and and secure it on the bike or to rear of Apecat.
