Had a job in Lake City over the weekend so it was a great excuse to bring the little bike and do a fantastic loop. The weather was perfect and it looks like it snowed the next day.
Lake City > Cinnamon Pass > Animas Forks > California Pass > Hurricane Pass > Corkscrew > Black Bear Pass > Telluride > Imogene Pass > Ouray > Engineer Pass > Lake City
The changing leaves are phenomenal right now although it made for a little more leaf-peeping traffic. I think I passed about 50 Jeeps on Corkscrew but the rest of the loop wasn’t too bad.
Overall a killer day of riding!

That’s an awesome loop and perfect on a small bike. I’m not going down Black Bear on a big bike until after I get that surgery that lengthens your legs by 6"

Sweet! We were out that way as well. I was over Cinnamon on the 19th, Imogene on the 20th and Engineer on the 21st. Rode a lot of other stuff as well. It was beautiful out there and weather was pretty good for the most part. We went over Imogene in the rain on big bikes which gave me some pause but turned out to not be a big deal. I’d hoped to do Black Bear as well as I never have but wasn’t going to have the first time be on a big bike in the rain on a Saturday.

It’s a 2019 500 RR-S. Definitely has capabilities that exceed my skills so it’s been a great bike to learn and progress with. She’s also been trouble-free for me and seems well-built so no complaints here.

Ha - cool! I wonder if we passed each other on Engineer…I remember a handful of big bikes coming down when I was going up. I was actually surprised how few bikes I saw all day - almost all Jeeps and SxSs.
I was using that old Garmin too - it’s been great!

I’ve seriously thought about finding lifts / platform boots for my wife, who rides.
Every bike I have her toss a leg over…nope…too tall.
