What did your ride this past weekend, 8/2-3?

Hey Team,

Let’ hear it! Ride reports are a great way to share your experiences with other club members and to meet people to ride with.

Did you ride? Post a ride report in this category!

Didn’t ride? No worries, join us this Saturday at Elite for our first Monthly Shop Ride!

I rode out to Fairplay where I was volunteering at an ultramarathon. I was working at an aid station at the top of Browns pass which was a fun ride up and down but I ditched my plans of more riding after my shift because of the storm rolling in. Then a quick ride home yesterday morning. No pics because I never made it to the scenic part of my plan🤷‍♂️

Ran up Georgia Pass from Jefferson side and then down into Breckenridge.

Moody Hill to Lookout Mountain to south end of Donner Pass. Finally cleared the Moody Hill rock pile (damp conditions), and rode some amazing new singletrack. Looking forward to starting at the north end of Donner on the little bikes soon.

Had to be in Hartsel this weekend so I brought the 500 and put together a loop that would take me through the Four Mile area, down to Salida then across the Rainbow Trail to Cotopaxi then back up to Hartsel. Turned out to be a pretty ambitious loop. The Rainbow Trail is some incredible single track but once I started getting tired it was beating me up pretty good…so much elevation change and loose rock.

Hero dirt at Four Mile is a blast.

North of Salida there is some fun stuff (Salida in the distance).

Rainbow Trail is where stuff got interesting.

Plenty of rocks, roots and logs.

Nice! Me and 3 other guys did the RT end to end, split into 2 days. We set up basecamp in SilverCliffeWhatever? RT in one day would be a VERY heavy lift.

Indeed - the climbs and descents are endless! Hell of a workout

Nice, and welcome! I’ve never done this pass. How is it?

@mulebarn it is rather boring from the Jefferson side but the Breck side is jamb up dude. Lots of vert, rocks and a bit technical. From the top it looked like you could go further to the north but time was not on my side. Worth the trip!
