I’ve been using the Brake Free helmet light from brakefreetech.com for a couple of years now, and it’s honestly one of the best motorcycle safety accessories I’ve bought. It’s incredibly effective in real-world use — drivers notice it, especially because the light sits higher at eye level instead of down by the bike. It’s also very convincing as being part of the brake system on the bike, because it works so well.
Setup was super easy, and I like that there are no wires or complicated apps to deal with. Just mount it, charge it, and ride. Charging is quick and simple, as it removes in a second from the mount.
I know there’s a couple others that run it, and I highly encourage them for people that ride dual sport. There’s a lot of pavement between us and the trails, and many times we’ll compromise on gear to better suit the dirt. This adds significant visibility for those road sections, or even dusty trail rides. Has a variety of lighting modes, or can be turned off once you get to the trail if desired.
After using it for years on multiple bikes, I definitely recommend it to anyone wanting a little extra visibility and peace of mind on the road.
