Mountainbike ride Saturday 4/4/2026 Hall Ranch // Food and bevy after

HI Everyone. I am planning an intermediate mtb ride for this Saturday 4/4 at 10AM. Meeting in front of MOxie in Lyons and riding from there up the Antelope Trail. We will ride to the top, do the lolipop and then down the rock garden and back to town. It will be a moderate pace, not fast but not grandpa slow either. If you are not comfortable with the rock garden you can go back down Antelope and meet us at Main Stage Brewery across from Moxie where we will end for a bevy and food.

Nice - thanks for setting this up Nicole. Solid ā€˜maybe’. If not doing a gravel ride, in.

@Evel-ONievel Come on out. Maybe help Rich with those brakes…and drag him along.

Nice! I’m a maybe because I may be giving a talk… to BMA bike patrollers and new volunteers about people with invisible disabilities who ride e-bikes. I’ll confirm asap.

That’s great!! I had one of those disabilities and had to buy an e-bike bc of it or not ride. I am not selling it bc I’m recovered but so glad you are sharing that knowledge!!! Thank you.

I don’t feel sorry for you…Have fun

After years of riding my MTB as a gravel bike, I’m down to get it sorted and learn new skills.

I’m in. Going to shoot video instead of live talk. See y’all Saturdie.

ā€œModerate Paceā€ to you? Or to middle aged non-ex-professionals? lol

One day I’ll join y’all, I need to get back into this.

I’m a maybe depending on moto ride plans that day. I’ll know tomorrow evening.

@mulebarn I have some trail building buddies who also worked for the county and they told me a ranger can’t really question anyone about their disability invisible or not. I’ll be curious to hear what you learn in that meeting. I see lots of people on ebikes up at Hall FWIW.

Come on out…I’m an old washed up pro that doesn’t like to pedal fast or can’t anymore…

BMA at this point has trained patrollers to say nothing on eBikes, so there’s not much there. Correct.

This is part of a larger, longer-term push to get the county to pull their heads out of their asses about eMTB, but in the mean time, also sharing messaging and planting seeds to a wider audience about people like me, who have some invisible issue but don’t ā€œlook handicapped.ā€ I have been a… loud voice behind the scenes, and there are some things I can’t write publicly here.

I’ll share the video I shoot here for anyone intereted.

If I’m on the ride, it is by definition a no-drop ride. Never leave a homie behind. I ride with pro women all the time, and can assure you they know when to be kind to us. Right @ChrisMunro?

Can I join on the 500 if I can’t get the MTB sorted in time?

No

I figgered that since y’all were talking about inclusivity and e-bikes, you’d be open to accommodating my petrodisability. Sad
