EICMA 2026

EICMA (Esposizione Internazionale Ciclo Motociclo e Accessori) opens at the Rho Fiera Milano center next week. Man that would be awesome to attend. I was curious if anyone here is excited to know what’s new for the 2026 moto industry.

Personally, I have a long-standing interest in BMW’s R 12 NINET. The 2026 models are already available on their Motorrad site. So, nothing to see at EICMA for 2026 BMWs. It seems it would be a great retro canyon carver, day tripper, fun time bike. I need to set up a test ride on a nice weather day.

What’s your jam?

Anyone want to hop a flight to Milan? :slightly_smiling_face:

That R12 GS is dope, but I have zero clue how I would use it. Ride to Spruce?

No interest in road bikes though I enjoy riding the wife’s Ducati Scrambler 800. Fun Sunday afternoon bike

Same way I go sailing …never gonna be my boat, but love that I have a friend that needs a mate.

Yeah I really love the R12NineT! I rode the old RnineT back to back with a Thruxton RS and the Triumph crushed it - I was disappointed with the BMW. But this new R12 version seems like a big leap forward. I especially like the R12S!

That R12G/S is also super cool. But like you said, I just don’t know what it’s for!

Honestly with the Norden and some Rally STRs on a second set of rims, I dont know that I’d ever buy a street bike ever again.

Love the trad orange and cream paint on that R12.

i would like to ride a modern sport touring bike however. My last road bike was an ‘03 Goldwing. Im curious about modern tech, engines, etc

Julie Wood dropped large on this gorgeous paint.

Honda is unveiling this three cylinder mill with an electric supercharger in what they claim will initially be in a sport cruiser platform. Seems like it would make for a great hooligan class racer.

I think that the Speed Twin RS vs the NINET - the RS is still the more “exhilarating” platform in terms of speed and steering response with a sportier headtube/fork - rake/trail.

The Triumph is the “She’s not my girlfriend; it’s just my turn” type.
The NINET is what you “Bring home to meet the parents” type.

The NINET not for everyone, but I personally love that boxer and the grunt that it delivers.

Love me a boxer engine. The righward pull at a standstill always feels weird, but that torque wherever you need it in any gear and any speed is like nothing else.

Here’s the Honda V3R 900cc 75-degree V3 with an electronically controlled compressor.

Looks a lot like BMW’s M1000XR. Apparently 150 Nm of torque. Good lord!
