Locally Made Moto Tool: Roost Concepts

I wanted to share this awesome and locally made motorcycle multi tool that a close friend has been making in Louisville for the past few months. Several of the components are machined in house and you can swap out bits to suite your bike. He is working on adding more functionality & accessories all of the time and already has out axle wrenches for most size dirt bikes.

He is always looking for feedback of other features that would help it replace more of every ones tool kit.

I’ve been using it for the past 5 months and have been impressed by how many tools I was able to remove from my pack. You should too, your back will thank you!

You can purchase the tool from their site The Stache, Moto Multi-Tool – Roost Concepts

They are pretty good about posting new exciting things on their social media as well.

I was about to buy one. Had no idea it was from CO. Awesome.

One note is that his kit only includes a T45 bit. Most of the 8mm, 10mm KTM bolts have a T20 or 25 (don’t recall which) head, so it’s very convenient to use that vs sockets to quickly hit bolts.

I’d probably swap the T45 out with this one.

The fork mount case is slick :+1:

I have been running a Roost Concepts plate holder on the 300 for a few years now. It is excellent in both concept and execution, and the few other things they make also look great. Super rad that they are super local. Let’s get ’em in here.

Is there anywhere that sells their stuff locally?

MotoAdventure in Loveland is where I got mine.

Hey all, this Josef the founder here at Roost Concepts. Thanks for the RC intro, Dustin! I’m currently the only person full time but I’m working on ramping up production and systems to develop more products, faster and with the same hand built level of craftsmanship. Next steps… get a shop space, hire an employee and optimize manufacturing and procurement processes. I’m in negotiations on a spot right in Boulder this week. Fingers crossed it works out. If it does it’s be fun to offer local pick up and have shop BBQ’s or wrenching sessions.

For stuff that you all might care more about.. the Stache tool fork mount will be released really soon. TPU holster with Voile brand straps (those are made in Utah, which is sweeet).

HTI axle attachments are also being cut by a vendor in Colorado. Then off to finishing and available end of January.

Local dealers are Motosport Masters, Moto Adventure and Slavens. I’m targeting core rider shops, and all the guys at these spots are very on it with their service and offerings.

I love hearing feedback on the Stache tool. What are your thoughts so far? What bikes are you on and what HTI attachments, socket and bit sizes would be more optimal for you?

Keep gettin’ after it!
