Parents / Former CU Students: how to get my airport shuttle biz on student / faculty radar?

Faculty / Administrators: a couple of these types have reach out to me, requesting the ability to pay in advance for rides taken by clients, visiting professors, etc. My model is to not take $$ up front and the rider pays the driver directly. So I’m building a private page with Stripe integration to collect upfront payment. One of the admin types also shared with me an “approved vendor” list that CU keeps so I’ll be looking to get on that as well. Any other tips for me?

Students: what the best, most efficient way to get this service in front of students in advance of football season, fall break, etc?

As you walk around campus, there are numerous kiosks and bulletin boards at walkway intersections where anyone can hang flyers. Often times they get cleaned off Friday afternoons but sometimes no one comes by to remove all the flyers off certain kiosks for a few weeks.

Not sure if that’s what you’re looking for but I’d also try hanging flyers in vicinity of the bus stops along Colorado ave.

It sounds like you might need to start the Boco Shuttle TikTok account. (Not really kidding)

Is there an electronic listing? Message boards, contact fraternities, etc?

Ugg. Everything has been word of mouth, referrals, Nextdoor and Reddit. I’m in a strange place where I have to balance # of ride requests with # of drivers. I don’t even have a business listing up on Google, ND, or Yelp. I’m afraid, in a good way, that once I hook those up things will blow up, just as I get on the plane to Bali for 2wks.

Good problems to have.

I asked my students about it. If it’s not on tiktok or Instagram they’re never going to see it. Flyers with QR codes to link to those sites might help get the word out at the start.
