Hey BCADV friends — wanted to share something personal and local that I’ve been building these past few weeks.
Earlier this year, I started driving for Eight Black to earn some extra money for my daughter’s wedding. When Eight Black suddenly folded in June 13, they not only left us drivers unpaid — they also took customers’ money through now-worthless vouchers.
But where they left chaos, I saw a gap in the market and an opportunity to build something better.
I quickly launched The BoCo Shuttle — a locally run airport shuttle built around professional, trusted drivers and a business model that actually works for both riders and drivers. It’s simple:
- Riders pay drivers directly
- Drivers keep 100% of the fare
- Drivers subscribe to the platform for access to ride requests
- $90 flat rate each way (for 1–3 people), door-to-door
We’re now up and running — and serving folks across Longmont, Boulder, Louisville, and beyond.
If you or someone you know needs a reliable ride to DIA — or wants to support a local driver instead of rolling the dice on Uber — I’d love for you to check it out:

Appreciate you all — and feel free to pass this along to friends and family, or even share it via social media.

Hey Rich-
I couldn’t find if you serve Nederland. If so, lmk and I’ll share this on the local Ned Residence FB page.
Greatest success to you and your team!

Thanks! As I get more drivers onboard we may expand into Ned. But that’s a hard nut to crack as it easily adds at least an hour to an airport trip, as a drive up and down the canyon.
Update: August ride requests up 200% from July. On track to fire myself as a driver by end of October, fingers crossed.

Wanted to give everyone an update, now that the spring / summer travel season is around the corner.
Ride booking were really going strong before the Oct shutdown, then travelers got skittish and deferred their travel plans. I was about to bring on another driver but had to pause that. Picked back up for the holidays but me and my drivers could handle it. Slowed down again in January and now things are ramping back up nicely. Looking to be a good spring and summer travel season. I’ve got another former Eight Black driver standing by, ready for me to bring him on board when we are consistently booking ~65-70 rides per week. We’re at about 50-55/wk now, and our reputation is getting out there among CU professors and department heads, as they book rides for the visitor speakers, students, etc. Just today one of them booked 14 rides with us for next week.
In about October I changed the name to Granite, website is GraniteRide.com. I didn’t want the name to tie me to a geographical area, as I plan to extend this up and down the Front Frange.
Special thanks to @mulebarn for coming up with a clean, simple logo.
Since I started in June we’ve successfully completed over 1400 airport rides. We have close to 60x 5 star reviews on Google. Began a Google Ads campaign after the holidays and it’s gaining traction, as well as our rankings in organic search.
Riding season, and a few multiday trips, have me brainstorming how to fire myself from running all of the backend ops. Will be diving into the world of AI agents, figuring out how to automate 90% of what I’m doing.
So if you, your friends, family, or network need a ride to or from DIA, visit the website, book a ride and leave me a note in the request form. I limit my own driving to about 3-4 days per week, but I should be able to drive you myself and we can talk moto’s while wearing non-moto clothes

I’ve used this service 10 or 12 times now, and can confirm regardless of the driver, they are always on time and it’s so much better than wondering if an Uber is going to show up or not.
And, if you get the right driver, you will talk about motorcycles the whole way to the airport.
