Switzerland Skills Tune-Up and Dodging SXSs

I’m going to ride Switzerland tomorrow. I want to continue tuning up skills so I’ll hit some of the off route diversions that have short steep-ish sections (you don’t have to). I’ll be purposely riding slowly here and there to tune up balance and stance positioning. I’ll also be hitting the throttle here and there to check that my upper body and hand grip stays soft. Checking my upper body position keeps the right amount of weight over the front tire for good grip. Blah blah blah

Basically nerding out on self movement analysis, correcting in a self feedback loop.

I usually start at the Sugarloaf parking area. I’m not set on a specific time. I usually coffee up, eat and roll out so likely get there at 11:00. I can rally earlier and later if anyone wants to coordinate around their schedule.

Hit me up here if you want to ride together. I’m on a CRF450. I have tools, jump box, first aid, inflator and radio.

I was just up there last Sunday. The trail is in good shape and not much traffic. Some guy had a earth roamer coming down from the top (crazy). I can’t go today but I might go up again tomorrow (Sunday) to test my bike setup while loaded down with camping gear.

Thanks for the conditions confirmation. I could rally again tomorrow if you want company. LMK

Definitely heading up today.

Imagine taking a .5 million rig on Switzerland as beater Samurai’s swarm around you like flies on shit.

Earthroamers start at about $900,000 these days…

And $100k deposit to start the build

A friend of mine works at EarthRoamer and got to see Post Malone taking delivery of his - it was $1.5m!

It has a microwave and a stereo though, so there’s that.

Things that you can but should you… My SIL has one of those 5K commodes in her master.

Yes, I sampled.

Great day. More moto riders than wheelers by a large margin. SXSs were a minority along with cyclists and runners. Light rain. Zero ice. I ate shit twice on some harder uphill sections that were totally optional, but fortunately no worse for wear for me and the bike. I rode back rethinking whether I’m too old to do A rides. :joy:

Can do mentality is an awesome mindset. Getting injured will wipe that grin right off your face.

Humorously, I saw a large 6 wheeled mog of some brand, I cannot say which, rolling on the P2P. Ned cop was busy writing a lot of paying paper for in town speeding …typical for mtn town cops. Ned feels familiar. Same vibe as Leadville.

Unrelated but in the vein of wins, my daughter moved into her 1st apartment and didn’t ask for my help :call_me_hand: but did send me a video of her pad… with her bear skin rug that she harvested a couple of years ago in NM. Now she’s “killing” it as a welder right out of HS. So, yay!!
