Just curious as I see people post rides and/or mention trails. While I’ve been on quite a few this past summer, I find myself wondering if I’ve done ones that are mentioned but I don’t know the proper name.
For instance, Switzerland trail….I believe I rode it, but when I see photos I’m not sure.
Do we, or could we, have a repository of specific trails we can download and build rides off of?

Gino and I created a shared folder on Gaia where we we parking gpx files files for organized rides. But it’s kinda messy and Gaia sucks for organizing files efficiently.
Some of us have been using DMD2 navigation software, which syncs with a Google Drive folder you create and park your files. Others are using OnX.
Ideally we’d want a simple shared folder, with a system for naming and organizing gpx files in sub folders, and bonus if each file had a thumbnail image of the track on a map, so you could get a general idea of its location, etc.
And just gpx files so the folder is navigation software agnostic.

If a Google drive will work, I can set one up. I’m just really bad at creating tracks, something I’m looking forward to the upcoming classes to help with.
I’ve really liked GPX viewer pro so far and have created some tracks, but it’s a learning curve and it doesn’t show access to some roads or has proper name.

I’ve been using Gaia to plan routes and as my navigation app for years. It’s great for both planning and navigating but SUCKS when it comes to efficiently organizing tracks.
