Have the 2T front on my 990. Curious about the 2T rear. I’ve been running Motoz Adventure on the rear, and Motoz RallZ before that. But the 2T rear comes in a 150 tubed vs the Motoz tubed are only 140.
Jason and I run them. He’ll probably have more feedback vs other tires, as its the only offroad tire I’ve had on Aprilia.
Its a longer wearing tire that does decent in dirt, and as a perk… can practically run flat due to stiffness. But… not a tire easily changed on the trail.
Price was compelling, and I have no complaints with my use, which is limited to B trails and lots of road.
I’ve switched to the T2T front and rear. I have over 5k on the rear so far, 2600 miles of it on the TAT trail. It’s held up pretty well, mix terrain, from multiple spirited runs on Switzerland Trail to the Halloween ride and last weekends ride. The cost is definitely attractive ($156~), and with a Rabaconda tire changer I have no issues with the stiff side walls.
I would say with the front its important to maintain good tire pressure to limit cupping.
Also, I believe you meant tubeless versions of both tires, not tubed.
Thx.
No, I prefer to run tubes vs tubless. Price is definitely right
I run the 2Ts front and rear on the Norden. Longevity has been good. Bike has felt great on everything that we rode this summer (Mammoth, Moon, Switz, 68J, West Mag, 105, Roots and Rocks, Bunce). Did Big Bend BDR X in March, and performance was significantly improved in the sand compared to the Pirelli Scorpion Rally XTR stockers.
Front is a bit floaty at lean on the pavement.
I am on my second set of 2 Tracks and am about to buy my third. I find they work as well on and off road as Motoz Rallz and last longer for less $. No brainer.
Thanks. Can get front and rear for about $260 all in. ![]()
I have the rear on my T7 and have done about 4500 miles with it so far and it still looks pretty new. It’s been great offroad and not bad on the street either. I’ve done the CO BDR as well as as the local switzerland trail /68J type stuff. I’ll most likely buy another when needed because the price is right. It took forever to break in though, the first like 200 miles did not feel like it was gripping well, then it was fine. Been through many other tires and never experienced that before. I also had to lower the tire pressure more than i’m used to because it just felt too squirrelly at full pressure.
yeah, that’s a good point I forgot. It took a LONG time to get scrubbed in. I was not thrilled with front for quite a while, and it was a little unstable at speed on highway, grooved pavement. It’s fine now.
Thanks, all, for the feedback. I purchased and mounted a two trackfront this weekend, will hold off on the rear until the start of next season. No need for a knobby a few months.
The 2 tracks are a great value, wear well and provide traction in a mixed variety of terrain that is close to Tractionator Rallz levels for 1/2 the price.
I am curious about the new Mitas Enduro Trail XT+ (Dakar) front tire but have yet to try one. I’ll stick with the 2 track rear because they really can’t be beat for the money IMO. I don’t necessarily have any issues with the 2 track front but if the Mitas is 10-15% better off road, for about an additional $25-30 it may be worth it.
I didn’t find mounting the rear 2 Track all that difficult, but I am running the narrower Tuareg Rally rear wheel with a 140/80-18 tire which is probably easier to mount than a 150. I installed the tires myself using only 2 tire levers and a Baja No Pinch tool with the wheel sitting atop an open 35 gallon plastic drum. (My “fancy” tire station…)
