Squad: Anyone know if the 505 gate in old town Eldora has opened yet? Trying to string together a ride for the weekend and would be nice if this guy is open for business. OnX says know but I am suspect that it’s stale data.
Boulder ranger district page says south end is still closed. Likely due to the road damage from 2004. I don’t think it ever opened last year. You could try calling the ranger district.

It is not open all of the way through unfortunately. I came down from the north on Monday afternoon and was turned around by a barricade. Beyond the barricade, there were multiple trees down across the trail. Here is my track. The barricade is where the light blue stops.

I suspect that this one has become an out and back. Probably not much incentive to open it back up and that barricade felt rather permanent, though we definitely didn’t experiment with whether or not a moto could get around it, it sure looked like one could. The trees might remain as a defense in depth measure.
