Oct 3, 25: Johnny PK Rd-Pierson PK Rd-Pole Hill Rd

Jimmy Changa aka Victor Druga and I tried to do a morning ride from Lyons over Johnny Park Rd to Pierson Park Rd into Estes Park and back to Lyons on Pole Hill Rd and Ponderosa Hill Rd. Unfortunately, when we got to the gate on Pole Hill Rd, where it enters private property at the FS 18E right-of-way at about a third of the way back, it was locked. Turned around and took 36 back to Lyons.

Johnny Park and Pierson Park Roads were fun on the Tuareg! Pole Hill Rd was too, until the gate. I had never been on Pierson before and only done a small portion of Johnny Park on my MTB previously. So a first for all of it on the moto. An amazing amount of logging and clearing work has been done on Pierson Park Rd and the road itself is in excellent condition.

It was disappointing not to be able to finish the loop as planned, but it was a great morning ride and the weather was beautiful!

Of course the solo photo of your bike is perfect…

Pierson is a TON of fun on the 901. That all rhymes very nicely, doesn’t it? I suggest we take Pierson over one fine day and run a BCADV Hill Climb.

Pole also great fun on the Big Bike, too bad about this whole private property thing.

Pierson is a secret! The last of the rock-free (ish) trails lol.

Front lens vs. rear lens quality, neither is great, but rear is much better. The front camera is barley adequate for zoom calls.
