**CANCELLED** BCADV + Share-A-Gift Toy Drive and Ride 🎄 December 6, 2025

I’m sad to say it, but we’re cancelling this ride. The Share-a-Gift organization lost their donation space, and despite my best efforts to contact them, they’ve not gotten back in touch with me about alternatives. We’ll try again next year.

That said, I’m still open for a “Cold Hearts Ride” if the weather cooperates. Yesterday I did 1.5 hours on the farm roads wearing my heated jacket and heated grips, and was toasty.

CANCELLED

Hey Team -

To follow our year-end shindig at Rayback on Friday evening, we’re doing a ride and toy drive the next morning to help Share-A-Gift (HQ’d in Boulder Valley) with their annual December gift drive for kids in need. Share-A-Gift is a not-for-profit, secular, all-volunteer organization.

I started BCADV to find other likeminded folks to ride with, and if you look at our FAQ’s, our number one value is: Give more than you take. Be generous with your time, knowledge, encouragement, and whatever resources you might have to share. Ask for nothing in return. You can change a life and not even know you’re doing it.

So let’s do that.

I’m working with their Board of Directors to bring some focus to the gifts we bring, and we’ll be aiming our efforts for older kids; I’ll post details of their needs once I have them. The general idea is to bring unwrapped, brand-new products to donate. If you want to donate a gift but can’t make it, let me know via DM.

Please share this ride with every ADV rider you know. I’ll be sharing it on Facebook with NoCo ADV and GS Girls. Let’s work for a huge turnout that goes beyond BCADV crew. And let’s see those motos lit up and Santa hats flying. :santa_claus:t3::motorcycle::christmas_tree:

The Ride:

This is going to be a short “C” grade ride (pavement and graded county roads) that won’t leave the lowlands, and you should bring your heated gloves and jackets if you have ‘em. Beginner friendly! I’ll post up a GPX file, but the general idea is start at Spruce Bakery on Pearl, wind our way through town, go ride some farm roads for a bit, and come back into Boulder from the north, ending the ride at Share-A-Gift’s toy drive at 5450 Western Avenue in Boulder.

We’ll likely need someone to drive a car/truck as well to carry gifts, given moto limitations.

With the limited space on the motos, it might also be good to have a vehicle or 2 in tow, for the donations. Can follow the group to destination, drop off the goods, etc. I’ll happily ride, but volunteer as a backup if we don’t have any other ‘tow’ vehicles.

Gift areas of focus/ideas are below. Older kids are the hard ones for Share-A-Gift to fill each year.

Boys 6-9: Big trucks, motos

Girls 6-9 years: Large bracelet making kits, big dolls (like Our Generation dolls), large boxed Disney dolls, dolls with clothing sets or stroller, Friends Lego sets

I have a large pick-up and am happy to run the gifts. Also happy to run to Uhaul (around the corner from me) and grab several large boxes in which to put them.

Thanks. Same; I have a truck w/topper we can use, and I’m happy to drive.

I’ve got a tonneau. Topper may win in case of tall boxes. We can figure it out on the day, I live around the corner from Spruce. The Norden may be in storage by then (moving to Erie hopefully within days of the ride), so happy to ride shotgun and keep you company if you end up driving.

I’m in to help. Will ride if warm(ish). Do you think there’s any need for lifestyle type apparel if in right sizes - I know it’s a toy focused drive, but I know we (Cuore) could donate some smaller size hoodies, puffy jackets, etc? Not cycling kit

I’ll ask when I talk to them again later this week.

I have Clifford the Big Red Van and wife/daughter who would likely be in for driving sweep. The van can fit All of the Toys.

Actually, just realized that Kandi has a Thing on Saturday and I may be voluntold to help setup. Regardless, Clifford will be spoken for

The Tundra with topper will be plenty. All good.

Will meet to drop off toys, but can’t stay to ride. Our vintage MX club’s awards banquet is that day and I need to be in in CO Springs by 1 PM. I’ll be driving my van and can transport gifts to the drop off location too.

Thanks for organizing this Gino! It’s a nice opportunity for the moto community to do some good.

I’m in to help for sure and ride if it’s warm enough.

I have another volunteering commitment with Kiwanis on the 6th, but I can deliver a toy to the holiday meetup on the 5th.

Too bad about this, but looking forward to next year for sure.

For those who already have toys to donate the Together for Colorado Toy Drive has drop off bins at King Soopers locations in Boulder, Longmont, Erie and Firestone.

I can drop off toys at the Erie King Soopers on Saturday if you bring them to the party on Friday. My van can hold a bunch!
