Dirt Church Sunday: confirmed

How does Moon Gulch compare to Switzerland in terms of technical requirements for the rider? Is it a B ride?

There’s also a way on Johnny Park that does hit the scene of the great tail feather incident .

If they’re B rides, I can build some tracks later today, but I don’t know either one well enough to lead them.

Moon is A on the Big Rigs. I’m up for pavement to JP.

Or Mag to Tollland to Mammoth out-and-back. That’s good B material. Mammoth is Switz on a reasonable uphill. Happy to make a track or tracks later this afternoon for review.

Id be up for an easy AM on big bikes. JPP is pretty B rated if you skip the infamous tail feather hill

I’ll be there. Tom

I gotta bail on this one unfortunately! But I will ride once or twice during the week coming up, so I’ll post up when I do.

Based on B, 2-3 hours and the routes we’ve been throwing around:

Option 1: Lyons - JP - Pierson - Estes - Lyons via 36 - Pole Hill out-and-back option (for discussion)

Option 2: Spruce N. Boulder - Mag Up - West Mag - 105 option (shown) or P2P - Tolland - Mammoth out-and-back - P2P - Mag Down - 68J Down Option (shown; for discussion)

68J down: I haven’t ridden anything like this with you guys, but down is easier than up. I believe in you.

Thanks @Jimmy_Changa

Option 1 might keep us out of traffic from the race a little bit?

I haven’t done either trail, but I’m down to give it a try, the route skips the part where I lost my tail feathers :smiling_face_with_sunglasses::rofl:

See ya at Spruce!

See y’all at Spruce.

Tapping out, my wife reminded me of a prior commitment this morning and I’ve run the cost/benefit analysis. Have fun !

I totally missed this thread, but Legault and I did some similar routes. We ended up in Rollinsville getting pizza at noon. It was hot. We were gonna take Switzerland/Pennsylvania but ran into the race at Gold Hill Rd and north Switzerland so we ended up going Caribou to 505 and down to Eldora, then out to Tolland via West Mag (I don’t know the FS road #'s to Tolland as I wasn’t tracking the ride). Fun day. Maybe 100 miles. I was on my Beta 390 and Chris on the Honda 450L.
