Get up to altitude via Gold Hill>Switz>Penn Gulch>head into Ned>West Mag trails maybe to Moffatt. Something like this. Could get up through 68J but that’s a lot of pavement up. Probably 3-4 hours +/- 80-90mi.
Anyways, taking temperatures to see who may be interested and would love some company! I’m a no ego intermediate rider and won’t get us into (too much) hot water. Ha.
I’d be down but have commitments tomorrow morning. I’ll keep an eye out here though, I recently picked up an XR400 and am eager to explore some stuff close to home.
Hey Hector! Just seeing this. I am heading out at about 830 from North Boulder. I am on a bit of a time schedule today to get this ride in before stuff I have to do later. Let me know if you can make it. I can meet up at Spruce Confection at about 830 if that works. Else we’ll do another ride soon!
Good ride today. Got it done early so stayed dry. Pennsylvania Gulch was extra spicy as you could tell torrents of rainbrought down a bunch of scree. All else was running sweet. Hope to do that with yall soon!
Nick … 68J is probably a 3 out of 10. I’d put Penn Gulch at (currently) a 6/10. It’s significantly longer and more challenging as it is a completely detonated trail (I still for the life of me don’t know how 4x4s get up that thing). This said, Penn Gulch is totally doable, you just need to take your time and really stay loose and pick your lines 10 feet at a time as it changes about every 10 feet. Happy to do it with you some time soon.
Yeah 68J isnt too bad except for that opening section going east to west. Im definitely down sometime but by the sounds of it am I gonna wish my 650 was a 300 2T lol
