FWIW, I asked Steve (Elite owner) to give us a clear understanding of what they will or won’t do with KTM family bikes, many of which were purchased from them. This was his reply:
Can Do:
( All that require no OEM parts unless sourced by customers)
-Basic Maintenance
-Oil Change
-Fork Seals
-Wheels/Tires
-Chains and Sprockets
-Brakes
-Offroad clutches
-Shock/Fork rebuilds
-Accessory Installs
-Offroad Motor rebuilds
Can’t Do:
-Running condition diagnostics
-Check/Clear Check engine lights or codes
-Warranty work
-Electrical Diagnostics
-Fuel injected Related Issues
-Login or retrieve service data or records
So in this world, his service team theoretically should have taken my 501s to fix the front end alignment, inspect the whole system, and install (if needed) a new OEM handlebar that I sourced.
