Let’s see your dirt bike

It’s also possible to make a comfortable ADV-lite with a little bike. Here’s Starla’s CRF300LS (the S designation is maybe for Short? It’s lowered from the factory, and otherwise identical to the CRF300L.)

I have seen the Wife of DonkeyHut’s bike in person. It’s sweet! Very well set up!

Snagged a used 2021 Sherco 300 2T from Elite when they were still in Loveland. First summer with it was a blast, this thing has way more capabilities than my skills can take advantage of. Pic of where I gave up my solo attempt going up Killpecker in Red Feather.

haha. I suppose AssShack would imply too many other meanings.

That B-52’s song will never be the same for me. Thx

Just picked up this project today. It ran rough on the bad gas in it with a push start and needs fork seals at least but otherwise looks clean enough for the price. Looks like I’ll be busy the next few weeks finishing up work on the GSA and starting on this.

@MotoJason Nice Beta in the background, there…:slightly_smiling_face:

@Ddejong I have a 96. I’ve got a new cam with the autocomp delete that has to get installed, and need new valve seals. Looking forward to a ride with two 400Rs taking part.

Let us know how that goes - I think I want to put some in my 500’s tires

I was running Nitro Mousses on my 2T, but will welcome the not having to use lube. I might add a valve stem to be able to inject grease after I check em in a couple hundres miles. Morgan from Highland Cycles is doing some testing and they have been holding up well. I bought soft for the rear, which may have been shortsighted as I intend to do some road sections on this bike and treat as a minimal DS bike. We’ll see how squirmy it feels

Def curious as well as I want to put the Lunar 2.0 on the DS bike. Thanks for any updates

I’ve always run the “plush” mousse in the rear. I’ve done 75+ mile pavement stretches. Just keep it around 55-65mph or so and keep the mousse lubed well
