I‘m going to ride my MTB tomorrow in Lyons. Join me if you like - chill pace, like everything I do.
Time: 9:30am rollout
Where: Sandstone Park on the Railroad Ave. side
Route: ~11mi with 1500’ of elevation gain. Usually takes me an hour-ish. Town to Antelope, up Antelope to Nelson loop, around the lollipop and back down to town. It’s an “easy” trail by Boulder standards, but there’s definitely some techy stuff that would be intimidating if you’re new to trail riding.
Maybe stop at Moxie Bread Co after.
Last time I rode this was with @RC_John and we had a good ‘ol time.

I am very interested in this bike ride idea. And I think you’re aware of the Boulder county rule I’d be breaking, but my bike looks innocent enough from 10 yards.
I’ll let you know by tonight but I’m at 67% yes at this point.
K. I’ll be on a detuned ebike (Class 1, but tuned so you have to work harder). That said, I am covered by the ADA due to my heart condition, and do not care about Boulder’s rules on eMTBs. Federal law trump county rules.
The ada has not yet recognized my excess adipose tissue as a covered condition, and also I am a bad man who sometimes goes over the speed limit also.

Thanks for waiting for me! I have been thinking I needed to thin the vintage moto heard and after yesterdays quick spin on Gino’s Yeti MTe I now have a real reason to transfer some two wheel funds from old motos to a new eMTB! Damn you and thank you Gino!
