Picked up a Royal enfield himalayan 450 for my fiancée last night, this little thing gets down! Honestly suspension feels sprung better than a stock tenere and it feels like a bicycle at speed
Very cool to have an SO that likes to ride her own bike. My wife and I have created some very good memories with our rides together.
Many more to come that’s for sure! Definitely want to get her out on some rides and plugged in with some other ladies in the group too!
I’m always down for a couple’s ride, my wife’s schedule permitting. She rides a Mighty BMW 310GS (it’s a pig). Street ride is a very nice Ducati Scrambler 800.
In fact, I should put something on the calendar for the club. Mishawaka is always a nice destination, or Rustic for a soft serve cone
I’ve been considering this bike for myself for months but I just can’t decide if it’s the right choice for me. I’ll have to pick her brain when she’s got some time on it.
Granted she hasn’t stretched it out at all yet but even on first ride for both of us I’d say it’s got the power of a klr 650, honestly feels a bit peppier, and is super approachable between the legs.
I’m really curious how snappy it is. I eventually plan on doing a day or week rental if I can find one. I’m trying to decide between a new 390, the Himalayan, or the Ibex 450. I sat on an Ibex at Sun and kind of lost interest in it. I’m so tall, my feet were flat on the floor wearing vans. I want something with more ground clearance which I saw in reviews I think the himi has an inch more clearance.
I have the 390 Enduro R if you want to throw a leg over. The Adventure R is barely heavier
I’ll probably take you up on that!
Sorry to hijack your thread @Burntclutch Congrats on your gal’s bike!
No worries, same offer stand on the RE too!
Congrats!
Rented one last fall and did a solo trip around Mongolia. Awesome bike that did everything I asked of it!
(Add your name to your profile so we know who you are!)
Sorry Gino, didn’t know it wasn’t there! Did a couple rides last year and I ended up using your Dusty Lizard ticket when you unfortunately couldn’t make it.
