Does anyone have any “must-see” tracks on the south island they’d recommend? I know of the usuals- Tevis, Rainbow Rd. We’ll be freedom camping 2/3 of the time.
I rode my bicycle across NZ from south to north, but so much of it was off limits to motos… sorry I can’t be helpful on the moto front.

Don’t have tracks, but Kandi and our two girls spent two weeks touring the South Island in an RV. Bikes and motos everywhere. Epic trip and epic terrain.

That sounds like an amazing trip! So you’re saying I just need to do all the downhill bicycle tracks with the bike off??? 
Downhill with the bike off, and simply push it up the hills and you’re good.
