Super jealous - this looks like an awesome ride! Have fun y’all.
C’mon Bill you don’t have anything better to do this weekend. ![]()
I think I’m in on this. Will confirm later today. Thanks for continuing to push it!
More cowbell… Do they have those in marching band?
Really explore the studio space.
They do!
And ironically, my son played it! In his freshman year, he was on auxiliary percussion - about 10 different things. Including a brake drum, which felt very noise-rock cool to me. And every time I would say “more cowbell” after a performance, he would lose more respect for me…
OMG. I used to be a band dad—my kid was even drum major for a couple of years. I feel like I lost so many beautiful weekends pushing carts around a stadium parking lot! Also wouldn’t trade those memories for anything. Enjoy it while it lasts!
Edited to add that I am definitely in.
Just fyi. Not sure how this affects this route though.

Yes, saw that when looking at routes back from Kremmling for Sunday. We’ll stay out of RMNP and the route is at a lower avg. elevation than Trail Ridge. The weather warms up/drys up today and looks good through Sunday afternoon. I think we’ll have a good weather window for the trip. I am hoping a few sunny days will dry the roads. We’ll likely see some mud puddles here and there but bypass options on pavement or graded gravel county roads are available if it gets too gooey.
Are you still considering joining?
I’m going to bow out on this one. My wife is in her off-season, which does not last very long, and it’s the only time of year we get to spend big chunks of time together on bikes. Have fun!
Great ride. Sean Bell hucked his T12 around in impressive fashion. Seymour Lake has a great sand beach for camping, and the loop was breathtaking.
Looks awesome! Jealous.
Update from this AM, shortcut from Kremmling to Fraser, most excellent! That’s Sean’s roost on the right.
Endless thanks to Gino for the inspiration, to Jason for all the planning, and to Vic and Mike for great company. Absolutely perfect timing for amazing color on some incredibly fun fast dirt. We are so lucky to have this in our backyard—and to have good folks to share it with.
Maaaan I’m bummed I wasn’t able to go with you guys on this one. Looks right up my alley! Thanks for the photos and reports. I’m headed to Steamboat this week with my wife, and now may need to bring the motos in addition to the MTBs.
Same. Looks amazing guys. Wow. Great shots too.
Man, the stuff around Steamboat is premium cruising. I’m ready to go back.
Next year I’d really like to do a three-day series of hub-and-spoke rides from one base camp in that area. Or…any area.
