The MTBDR 2026 Thread

Locked and loaded to ride the MTBDR next week with:

The Plan:

Meeting Saturday at the park and ride at Hwy 119 and I-25 to consolidate into 2 trucks and trailers, and drive about 9hrs to the ride start area in Idaho. We’re then riding the route, taking all of the Alt Hard options, from south to north finishing at the Canada border. We’ll then make our way back to trucks via pavement and drive back to BoCo next Sunday.

We have reserved ABnB’s and hotels along the route, so no camping, allowing us to travel extremely light and saving ~2hrs/day in admin time, as setting up and breaking down camp. This gives us more flexibility to take our time, explore any side quests along the way, etc.

I’m basically riding with my EDC + rain gear + an extra layer + a change of clothes for the hotel. Very light and simple setup.

I’ve asked the other guys to pop in here and share pics of their bikes, and then we’ll use this thread to post updates and more picks at the end of each day of riding.

Is it Saturday yet?
