Currently putting the steering and front end back together after noticing a clunk feeling. Steering bearings were loose-ish, so re-grease and reinstalled.
I’ll replace them this winter since the lower was a little on the worn side. Hopefully have the bike back together this weekend since I can ride again after getting snipped.
I have a Scotts on my 501, and it’s a game changer for sand, rocks, higher speed pavement work.
On my 701, I have a Power Commander w/a Rottweiler tune to match the Wings exhaust and Rade Garage air intake. It smooths out low end power, significantly reduces flameouts, and my fan doesn’t come on nearly as much because everything runs cooler.
Ok. So to add… i removed the stock tire and tubes. Drilled and installed rim lock, lubed and installed mousse balls in new rear tire, sweared a LOT, contemplated selling motorcycle, sweared more, and got the rear mounted.
Edited. Did new handguards, designed and 3d printed battery adapter, finished front and rear mousse installs.
Absolutely. I’ll preface with i don’t have much comparison to many other bikes outside my Aprilia, KLX 300, and the original 390 adventure. But will do a writeup soon
Took advantage of @MotoJason and his generosity and mounted a new Tusk 2Track on my big bike. Paired it with a Motoz Tractionator Dual Venture on the front.
Had an excellent new tire shakedown over the weekend:
These are a massive off-road improvement over the Shinko 705s.
Thanks again Jason!!
Got my KLR back together after greasing and tightening the steering bearings. Which I’ll have to replace them this winter.
Along with checking that the doohicky was done and probably installing a coolant bypass system since the top gets super hot in traffic. And check the valves.
