If any of you have interest in electric motorcycles, avoid Ryvid if you have hip or knee mobility issues….I’m looking at potential knee replacement or surgery in the future.
They were at a conference I was at and the guy at the display told me to throw a leg over….well I did and the kickstand sheered off at the frame and down the bike went. My dismount was spectacular seeing as I was in all my cop gear (so I’m pushing 275 lbs), but apparently you don’t mount it like an ADV bike…..as I was warned AFTER the bike took a nap on the floor.
The proper way to mount is lower the seat all the way and then get on.
Luckily they had a center stand they threw it up on, but I avoided that side of the vendors area for the rest of the weekend.
Cool bike, really cool technology, not the best design for a kickstand on an already heavy motorcycle. I’ll stick to regular motorcycles for now until I get my knee back to full use.
I learned something new that day!
