I’ve given up on winter, am not looking at the calendar, and just moving forward…
Let’s Ride!
Join me at 10am this Saturday at the Circle K on Broadway for an easy dirt / pavement ride to Evergreen for lunch or coffee.
This is an all-abilities, nearly any bike will work kinda ride. Temps probably in the low 40s up in the mountains, so dress accordingly.
Post here if you’re planning to join me.

Very interested. Solid maybe for the moment.

This sounds great! Need to do some shake down miles after prepping the 890 for Mexico.

Looking like about 6 riders so far, +/-

The Evergreen area is forecasted for a small amount of rain/snow this evening. I’ll watch the weather and flex the plan if needed

Out. Sadly. A parenting pivot. Have fun.

Woohoo we survived. I still say we should have finished Magnolia…
I commend you guys for not target fixating on me hitting the deck and doing the same. Well done, truly. And my elbow feels fine.

What did you guys end up doing?
We ran into ice not far out of Boulder on Magnolia. Turned around, up to Ned, then P2P and St Vrain to Lyons.
Sunday would have been better

Maybe, but doing it on Saturday turned a basic route into an “adventure”. More time for coffee too.

Yep. Still a great day of riding and a good reminder that I should use my electric jacket more often
Sorry to bail on you guys. I tore my acl in June after losing the backend in on ice. Those shady spots are treacherous. When the pavement turned to ice and slush on magnolia that was enough for me.I learned my lesson the hard way way. When you can’t tell what’s wet pavement or ice- I call it! Glad you guys made it safely and hope your elbow heals up quick @MotoJason

You did the right thing, always ride your ride.
FYI, I’m no go with ice and snow on a big bike. We noped out probably just a few turns after you did

That’s me gingerly turning the bike around, after gently setting it down. 50/50 rear tire at 36psi was interesting.
