The "What Did You Ride This Weekend" Thread: 8/16-17

Next weekend I’m leading 15 guys on my “Best of the COBDR” ride for 5 days. On Saturday I created an opportunity for a shake down ride, to some guys into the rocks, test out radios, etc.

We met at the Circle K on Broadway at 8:30a then rode to the entrance of Switzerland near Gold Hill, where I gave a quick class on body position. We then rode to the Four Mile intersection for a quick feedback session, then carried on to the Sugarloaf staging area.

From there we exited to Sugarloaf, then P2P to Rollinsville, up Mammoth Gulch for a stop, chat, and snacks by the Lunch Tree at Elk Park. We then split up and went our separate ways, as I needed to get home.

On Sunday, my wife Kandi wanted to go for a ride. So I prepped her Ducati Scrambler, laid down the requisite rose petals from the garage door to her bike, and then took her through Lyons, up St Vrain, to P2P to Rollinsville for pizza at Toss. We returned to Longmont via Ward and Left Hand. The ride was actually a great opportunity to catch up with each other via the Senas, as we’re both very busy these days.

And before anyone on last week’s ride asks, no, she did not decide to ride off the road for no apparent reason. So the Strauss Haus is officially about 9 days safety incident free! :victory_hand:

What did you ride? Post here or create your own ride report in this forum!

Had the Kingston Assault tracks loaded so I decided to do a solo run Sunday morning. Really fun riding up there and a gorgeous day. Trails could use more rocks though.

I took new ride up 7 to explore, went through part of bunce, taking things easy as I was solo, and the only tool I brought was me.
