Hi, my name is Kandi and I’m a 5’2” rider with a ridiculous affinity towards big adventure bikes. As a short rider, there was a time that I didn’t think I I would be able to ride those big bikes off road until I saw a 5’1” woman make the GS Trophy team in 2018. Once I quit making excuses for how short I was, I decided to train, train and train some more until making the U.S. Women’s Team for the GS Trophy from 2019-2022. Since then, I have made it my mission to inspire riders of all ages, sizes and genders to get out of their own heads because most can accomplish more than they think they can with the proper training, mindset and community behind them. That is why I love what Geno and Rich (and others) are doing here. Today, I ride a BMW R1250GS, F900GS and Beta 390R. I also need a bigger garage.

Quit making excuses and take training- because it IS possible to have even more fun when you have better skills.

They call me Barrett. While I have been riding motorcycles for years, I am new the ADV world and to Colorado (just moved to Berthoud last month). After initially feeling like I was going to die on the last ride Rich took us on (68J on a fully loaded bike 10 minutes into my ADV-ing experience!) His and Gino’s expert advice made the last bit of riding almost enjoyable! I am excited to be part of the community and build my offroad skills.

Obligatory Switzerland trail pic.

Hi, my name’s Dana. For those that are/were on AdvRider aka Sugardust. I’m interested in riding what folks would consider B/C routes and doing more on road/easy dirt/ road touring now. I haven’t been able to get out recently due to life circumstances, however I still would like to get out and ride when I can - street touring is ok with me as well. Oh I live in the Firestone if anyone is interested in riding around here. Thanks all!

Welcome! Come join us at Elite in Longmont for our first monthly shop ride. 8:45 meet and greet, riding at 9a. See deets here: 8/9/2025 Meet Elite & Shop Ride to Red Feather

Hello. I’m Matt. I ride a 2022 KTM 890 Adv R, 2007 Honda CBR600RR, and a 2019 KTM 300XCW. I am a B level rider and ride my 890 like a big dirt bike. I used to race in CORCS but had to stop due to some health issues. Unfortunately, I get altitude sickness so my rides are selective and few and far between. On my personal side, I served 9 years in the Kansas Army National Guard as a 91E (Welder/Machinist), I am currently a machine shop planner/scheduler, I game, and I make knives as a hobby.

The Weld County ADV club would be very boring, and require horses.

Hello,

My name is Rich Guess. I rode dirt bike a little bit when I was a kid. Then didn’t really get on one for more than a quick ride until 2012. Then I got an FJR, really fun bike, lots of fun mountain rides and was my commuter downtown above 40 degrees. The body position became less ideal as I got older, and had a Harley for about 10 months. I got a Triumph Tiger in late 2018, with plans for light dirt and commuter, but the world had different plans. So last summer, after knocking the sump guard off for the third time, I decided to change and got a Norden Expedition (after Gino kindly let me test

ride his).

Nora just got back from her first big trip, over to Gunnison, Ouray, and Telluride. I’m hoping my calendar can line up better with some group events in the last part of the summer.

Hello! Name’s Lyra, currently live on the edge of Wheat Ridge and Arvada.

Relatively new to CO, grew up in Maine riding dirt bikes lived in Florida for some years for work reasons and couldn’t handle the heat, flat and sand. Had a short stint riding a DRZ-sm but the dirt called me back and have been on the 890 platform since. Recently got my hands on a used 2024 890 Rally! What a bike, going to get me in a lot of trouble.

I often ride by myself and would like to change that! But because of that I’m used to having everything needed to get out of trouble, so I’ll try and carry those weird tools you’re missing :stuck_out_tongue:

Also love multi day camping trips but haven’t done as many as I would have liked due to just schedule. Below is a picture from a trip in Northwestern Maine couple summers ago, in and out of the NEBDR. Now that I live out west, there is a lot of BDR to do, and I intend to try and make as many happen as I can!

I also ride with my fiancé, but he is more of a street rider who likes exploring graded roads, so he may join for easier rides but I’m the crazy one. Pic of us on Quill Hill in Rangely Maine after days on the NEBDR.

Hope to see you all out there!
