@CameronT7 thanks so much for picking up the leadership ball on this one and tweaking the tracks.
Everyone: ideally rides like this don’t really “need” too much leadership — everyone has the route, is accountable for the person behind them, looks for each other at regroups, and is mindful of terrain obstacles and make sure everyone gets through them.
Creating a protocol of drilling down “leadership” and accountability is how we create a fun calendar of frequent rides that people can plug themselves into.

I ended up riding with the crew for about three hours today before I flipped it in Rustic. My knee started barking at me…
For whatever reasons, there were only six of us despite all the RSVPs, and then we picked up @TheOtherRich as we saw his BCADV jersey, and him having a snack against the tree on the other side of Pennock pass.
I got a little hammered by a big storm on the way back home, and I’m looking forward to hearing about how the rest of the day went for the crew.
Thanks again @CameronT7 for being the ring leader today! Fun times!

Sorry you got hammered by rain, but glad to get a little ride together.
Jason and I completed the b ride loop and circled back around horsetooth, pretty great route.
Cameron and the others went to try an out and back for Kelly Flats, looking forward to hearing how that went. I’m not sure if it was wisdom or fear, but we opted out
Hope you get healed up @mulebarn
overall a great day for me, great route thanks for sharing it!

Beni, Cameron and I went into Kelly Flats from Manhattan Rd after Rustic. The riding is good back there. Some good technical stuff without getting crazy. Benny found a good parking spot so we could take a quick break. After being back in there a while, we decided to flip around and head back out. I had had enough of a day on the little WR and announced that I was skipping the planned Red Feather / Dead Man Lookout loop. The others didn’t put up much of a fight after wrestling their considerably larger bikes through Kelly Flats (they rode like badasses by the way). We all headed back to Rustic and took a quick detour to bomb up the main climb into Kelly Flats from Hwy 14 and attempt to do the little planned connector around and back to Hwy 14 again, but there is no trail there. We flipped around again and made our way back out and headed to our respective points south from there. It was great riding with you all. I look forward to doing it again!
Benny’s personal parking location in case you need a break spot while visiting Kelly Flats: 40.71962°, 105.54350°

Glad everyone’s ok! Thanks @Beni7542 for the show-n-tell of your bike’s underbits. See y’all soon.
Hahaha that was a fun technical experience section with big rocks and water crossing.
The views were really beautiful on the trail and the way back home on the pavement through the canyon was a scenic ride .
Was nice to see the other part of the state I’ve never ridden before
Thanks @CameronT7 for leading the way

I need to figure this part out:
- Primary: 462.600 with R-CTCS and T-CTCS set to 118.8hz
I have my Baofeng set to 462.600 and can hear all kinds of chatter on that channel, but can’t broadcast apparently.
Yeah, adding privacy code makes that all go away.

The SOP has a link to YT video that demonstrates how to set that.
We need to create a policy of public flogging for showing up to a ride with unprogrammed radio…
Oh yeah, that track I created last year has an artifact of a trail that’s not there. Sorry
And going up Kelly Flats on a big bike is no go

Yeah, that’s a fun trail. Good technical stuff but nothing too crazy
Thanks. I’ll go find that video. And no I would not take my GS up that. Those guys made it look easy though.
