Just brought this beauty home today, AJP SPR 310R ENDURO. I need to get it ready for this trip, is there anything I should do?
Sweet!
Whoa! Nice ride!
Is the bike street legal?
FYI, your call sign is still Yardsale ![]()
Very cool! I’ve never heard of AJP. Guess I’ve got some research to do. lol.
It’s not street legal yet, but it already has horn, turning signal switch and the mirrors mount. I think it still needs to get turning signal lights and dot tires mounted. I will sort out the paper work and dmv inspection.
Any thoughts if this is feasible? I’m not sure if is possible to ride in Moab without plates
The Friday and Saturday routes we have published will require a plate and at least 120mi range.
Hey just wanted to offer my help. I have previously done and actually am right in the middle of making a dirt bike street legal, my inspection is next week. You need an inspection with state police and unless you want to drive a couple hours the appointments are around 2 months out. You can go to any office but I had to schedule my one next week back in December for anyplace within an hour. Let me know if you need any help.
Here is the link to schedule inspection. I would schedule tonight.
Here is some other helpful info.
Sounds good! That’s very helpful. I’m going to take a look at this, and I will reach out to you.. thanks man!
@cwilsun has a sweet AJP (when it’s running)!
What shop did you pick this up from?
I bought it at H1 Powersports in Elizabeth. They had 2 of them,4460 OTD, I couldn’t miss that deal! I couldn’t even find a used one at this price. https://www.h1power.com/
Really? Oh no!! It has the old husky 300 engine, the previous one to ktm, and beta suspension. It’s brand new.. I hope it holds up well!
Congrats! You’re going to love it. They’re actually very reliable and the online community for support is really good. I’ve learned a lot about mine and I will share more once I get it back from being hostage at another dealer.
Short answer is a plate and skid plate, if you can get it plated in time. Larger gas tank, though you could also strap on a fuel bladder.
Regarding the plate and Moab: we’ll be out there, remote, so you could probably get away with hiding in the group. However, if you were to run into a ranger on White Rim…that could be challenging. You definitely need to be plated for that ride. That said, some guys have been known to take the plate from another of their motos and swap it onto a non-plated bike. But if that ranger were to run your plate, that would not be a good day.
Do you still have the 390? Held together with hose clamps and safety wire?
That makes sense. Oh yeah, The 390 adv is still available as my plan b, I think it’s doable. I’m not getting rid of it any time soon, there are still a lot of BDRs to finish or until another good deal comes up.
If you’re able to bring both bikes, you could use the 390 for Fri and Sat, the AJP for my ride on Sunday. No plate required for that one
Nice, congrats on the new bike! What a deal!!! This engine is shared with the SWM the got updated with the dual exhaust port head from the earlier Husky design. That 310 Husky engine was good. Torquey for its size, if it’s in a similar state of tune to the Husky/SWM version.
Is the GET ECU programmable?
Cross Training Enduro did a review on the 310 and 510 recently on their YouTube Channel.
I have had my eye on the AJP PR7. That is a cool bike, also with a Husky designed engine.
Thanks man! I’m not really sure if the ECU is programmable yet, but it doesn’t have a switch. That would be great!
First ride was above and beyond my expectations.. I gotta improve my riding skills to keep up with the bike.
Is there a ball park estimate for distance on Sat and Sun? I’ll be riding my 890 on White Rim but trying to get an idea on gas to ride my 450 those two days.
What’s your range?
Saturday is about 120, for the A loop. I did this a few years ago with some guys on stock tanks and they were sweating it. The last 15-20 is all downhill.
Regardless, we’ll publish tracks.
